A crop top in 4 ways

I quite didn’t know why crop tops flattered me until I realised it works well for my under 5″4 frame. Ever since I have tried them on, I fell in love with them. They are here to stay in my wardrobe especially this crochet crop top I picked up in Delhi a year ago. I love wearing my crop top in different ways. Here are 3 of them below

Option 1

Wear your crop top with a vest

A vest adds an elegant and dressy dimension to your crop top and jeans look.

If you are meeting your friends or family for  lunch or drinks over the weekend, you can pair a kimono/vest to your crop top and jeans look.

I am wearing this mesh and crochet white vest from my favourite retailer.

You can swap jeans for hot pants or leggings also.

Option 2

With a button down shirt.

A button down shirt can is an essential that I have discovered of late. I am not used to dressing in layers but I have found this to be handy especially in 2 situations

1) Bipolar weather

2) Staring

Though I eventually you have to stop caring about number 2 if you ever want to make a statement ever. Again something that my mom has taught me. I should totally dedicate a blog to her or maybe invite her to do a guest post.

So I am wearing this button down shirt which was a tad bit oversized when mom gifted it to me. So I got it altered a bit and wear it on top of spaghettis/ racer backs/ other-not-allowed-tops at work. Everyone is happy that way 😉

I am wearing it here it with a legging. You can swap it with jeans or a skinny trouser or a pencil skirt.

Option 3

Wear it with another top.

I have merged these 2 tops here- the top I have worn inside is again white and has crochet work. In fact, it doesnt even look as 2 different tops when worn together. These tops on their own might raise eyebrows at a traditional workplace but these 2 together looks like 1 oversized top/ long top. This way you get to utilise your not-so-formal wardrobe even at work when you are bored with the business casual/formal attire.

Of course one can try with a different colored top which does not match the outer crop top color.

Option 4

Just the crop top. 🙂

Pair your crop top with a pair of leggings/skinny jeans or jeggings and you are good to go.
