Shopping tips for the lazy fashionista

This blogpost is for the lazy fashionistas who do not want to deal with shopping decisions every other week. You would rather not go through the painful process of going to stores, trying on clothes and standing in queue while doubting your potential purchases. I am one such person who is too tired from every day life to go shopping on off-days.  If you are a fashion-lover but refuse to spend a lot of time and effort, then read on for tips:

Online shopping: I was introduced to online shopping by a colleague when I was complaining about the lack of time to shop to update my working wardrobe while working. That was 2012 and  since then I might contributed significantly to the revenues of some major fashion eretailers. The reason why online shopping is so easy is that you just need to step out of the comfort of your home to shop from various stores. All you need is an internet connection and your plastic money ready for by your side.

Be creative : I always find a way to keep recreate a single piece of item in different ways so that I do not have to go hunting for new pieces for every season. For example, I bought this Topshop blazer in spring and I used it to transition into fall. This is my first fall in Michigan so I did not have multiple layering pieces such as vests and turtle necks so I just layered and layered till I was autumn ready. No wonder Bill Gates, Founder of Microsoft said  “I choose a lazy person to do a hard job  because a lazy person will find an easy way to do it.”

Personal shopping services: Are you tired of making decision in your day to day life and you would like to outsource your fashion decision to someone else?  Personal shopper might sound like a luxury but if you do the maths, it might be more worthwhile to hire a personal shopper or service and get the right clothes rather  than make a lot of bad purchases. Many subscription based fashion retailers such as StitchFix and MM LaFleur cater to the busy fashionistas by sending curated boxes every month.Men fashionistas –do not despair – these options will bail you from fashion dilemmas. Meanwhile there are independent personal shoppers like me who help you take the stress out of shopping. The best part of hiring an independent stylist is that you are not under any pressure to buy the products they showcase so you can expect it to be more transparent than stylists employed by a particular company such as Macy’s or Nordstrom.
